The Consumer Electronics Show is in full force out in Las Vegas this week and for those of us who can't be there in person check out www.engadget.com for what I've found thus far to be the best home browsing of the CES experience.
So what have I found out so far? Well besides the big Warner announcement for me it seems its all about thinner and BIGGER TV's, like Panasonic's 150-inch plasma display! Don't even tell me you don't want one of these puppies which are due in stores 2009.
Outside of the TV department Media Extender devices seem to finally be getting some love, hopefully we'll see them sooner rather than later. The PSP is suddenly SONY's biggest piece of hardware and a 16GB memory stick is due in stores around March, but the $300 price tag for the memory only seems steep for me. Surprisingly to me both Apple and SONY have announced plans to begin adding DVD and Blue Ray portable rips for iPods and the PSP respectively. Both are limited in studio partnership right now but this is a step in the right direction for both formats. Lastly I've spotted a photo frame with Wi-Fi capabilities, which is something I've been looking forward to.
Since like me you're probably stuck at home do yourself a favor and check out Engagets coverage, its the closest thing we've got to being on the show floor!
