Oh its a touching story, but no not my little ones per say (my son is no where near old enough to head out on his own yet!) but three little robins headed out into the big world this weekend. Every year there is a robin that nest under my deck. I never take down the nest so each year its ready and waiting for her (at least I'm guessing its the same bird). I guess its kind of my way to give back to nature. Sure I scare her away alot when I go out the door to the deck and sure it makes me jump when she takes off but this year we developed a few I'll sit here you stay there moments, it was touching.
Interesting this year I got to catch a few moments that I haven't in the past. I've included pictures of the babies being fed (ala my new digital camera) and you'll just have to take my word for it that on Sunday I caught two of the babies taking off from the nest as I came out of my shed, there they went.
It's pretty neat seeing nature up close like that, hopefully the new robins will do well in the world and until next year hopefully mama will do well.
